Requirements

 

NULL get a tremendous number of applicants and to avoid wasting anyone's time, you must meet all the following requirements to be eligible for a tryout.

  • * You must be at least 17 years old.
  • * Your reputation in the gaming community must be clean.
  • * You must be willing to sacrifice your playing style for the team.
  • * You must have patience because the entry process is very long.
  • * NULL Does NOT allow playing for other clans in games which NULL currently has divisions for.

 

Brief Description of Recruitment Process (Boot Camp)

 

  • 1. Boot Camp is divided into three phases. All members of NULL, both past and present have gone through this process. Each phase tests for certain qualities or lack thereof.
  • 2. Boot Camp is difficult. A large percentage of NULL prospects never graduate. If you are in the majority, NULL isn't right for you and you'd be better off elsewhere.
  • 3. The entire process of Boot Camp can take a long while. We carefully evaluate all prospects and their potential benefits to the Clan as a whole. Expect it to take anywhere from one to three months, but also know that it has taken as long as six months. During this period you will be allowed to play in clan matches. If fact, you are encouraged to do so; the more you play, the better we can evaluate you.

 

Additional Information About Membership

 

  • 1. NULL institutes a military-style hierarchy. Organization and structure often yield the most productive results. Officers are there because they have earned the respect of their fellow teammates, and have gone above and beyond the call of duty. You should be prepared to follow their orders.
  • 2. Time is also an issue. There are only 24 hours in a day, and the officers realize that Real Life sometimes has to come before fun and games. However, we expect you to dedicate at least three hours per week for clan practices, scrimmages, and/or matches.
  • 3. Our doors are always open to good players. However it is not merely skill that determines whether you pass or fail. NULL strives to be the best sports in the gaming community. We don't bitch or whine, nor do we trash-talk. Dishonorable Discharges have occurred due to this kind of behavior. It will not be tolerated. Period.

 

Initial Contact

 

After initial contact, one of the officers from the clan will make arrangements for a tryout. If you pass the tryout to the officer's satisfaction, Boot Camp will follow.

At this point, if NULL doesn't seem like a good match for you, please, do not apply. We spend a great deal of time and effort carefully evaluating each prospect, and the one thing we hate is to see our efforts go wasted.
